Yet another young child has been seriously injured by those 'adults' who should be protecting her. These cowardly youths have plumbed new depths of depravity and should be removed from society - permanently!
The child is in a serious but stable condition in Auckland's Starship Hospital tonight. She has a serious head injury and abdominal injuries and is in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit.
So far four people, none of whom are the child's parents, have been arrested in connection with her three-week ordeal-- three men aged 21, 19 and 17 and a 17-year-old woman, all Rotorua residents, face joint charges of assault.

Police say the girl lay seriously injured for 36 hours before anyone sought medical help for her.
There are several questions I would like to have answered:-
- What were these young 'adults' doing at home instead of working or studying?
- Were they drunk or drugged or both?
- Were any of them on the dole?
- Where was the mother?
Is this just another tragedy created by our welfare system?
Update :
I don't usually agre with Michael Laws, but I must give him credit for his column in the SST.

mawm, I read about things like this and I despair.
Where are the maori leaders who will condemn this behaviour? Not with a "I think this is awful...BUT"
Unequivocal condemnation and righteous anger.
I'm bloody sick to death of Maori being given a free pass on this stuff in the name of historical grievances--it's time they grew up, joioned the civilised world and held their people to account. Otherwise they're nothing but a bunch of dysfunctional drgged-out welfare thugs.
And let's stop paying single mothers to have kids!
