This is a young team that promises so much and, at last, are begining to show their class. Next week they face the powerful Bulls in the S14 final. Go Sharks!

You must have seen today's piece on the SA Communist Party's influence in the Durban City Council's wholesale plan to rename 194 streets and wipe out almost all of its colonial place names [?].

Feelings were running so high that a 10,000-strong protest march turned violent with shops smashed and looted.

I hope the rugby crowd enjoys the S14 final at Kings Park [ABSA] Stadium this weekend, before it is renamed the Karl Marx Plaza!

What was very interesting about this was that the father of the 'terrorist/activist' that bombed the (?)Sanlam plaza in Amanzimtoti rejected the renaming of Kingsway (major rd in the town)after his son.

He said that it was time to bury all the conflict in SA's history, and also relatives of the people who died in the explosion were still alive and it would cause a lot of anger and hurt.

We need a few more sane people like him around.
