WHAT A BUNCH OF WANKERS

The petulance of Trevor Mallard and Dick Hubbard reaches new heights. Mallard's sulking and not giving funding to Eden Park because it is not his choice of stadium and Hubbard because ARC have quite rightly told him to piss off.

For f#%&'s sake these guys are meant to be adults!

To get back to the funding; when the average Joe Soap wants to buy something or do alterations to his home, then he either checks that he has the money to do it or he goes and borrows it and makes sure that he can make the repayments. So why did the Bid Team not do just that? Why did they not check to see if they had the money first, or did why they not go too the government first to find out if they were going to be funded? Something here stinks! Did they get support from Mallard and Clark which has now been withdrawn?

NZRU, with backing by the government, put in the bid, now let them pay for it.

NASTY SCUMBAG

In todays Herald.

Dr Brash's policies on race relations and Treaty of Waitangi settlements angered many Maori, and Mr Harawira's letter to Dr Brash has fully vented those emotions.
Mr Harawira accused Dr Brash of trying to "ride a wave of racism" and said history would remember him as someone who tried to destroy Maori and lost.
"I've been told not to be nasty in what I say about your political demise but that doesn't mean I can't be happy about it," the letter said. "You probably don't know what ka kite means Don, so hasta la vista baby."

Can Harawira not see the hypocrisy of his comments. When a group, especially a minority group , get preferential treatment based on race, then it is racist. In South Africa under Apartheid the minority whites had just that and it was wrong. I would guess that Mr Harawira and the majority of his race were anti-apartheid supporters.

Dr Brash by trying to have one law for all cannot by any stretch of the imagination be called a racist. If there are people that require help in eduation, health, housing, etc; then give them help BUT NOT ON A RACE BASED SYSTEM.

But then this is all about that most coveted of Maori traditional treasures - money!
